17/8/09 Not sure if this is good or bad news but Winnie has come into season?! I am not sure how Tigger will take this or even if he will run at Dashin Dogs or Dog Vegas. I think he may have his mind on other things?! If he is a naughty boy he might lose 2 rather valuable things!!!! He will now though stay in a crate in the caravan to try and keep him away from Mrs Winnie the hussy!!
I am off today to buy chemicals and bog roll for the caravan toilet. What an exciting shopping trip?!
August News
10/8/09 A quiet start to the month. We have had 2 weekends away from shows and agility and I have finally sorted out the house and garden! The dogs meanwhile are enjoying their break. Unfortunately I have a little work to do and went into school this morning to collect it. Winnie is going training tonight and then at the weekend the other dogs have a show in Oswestry.
16/8/09 The holidays are flying by far too quickly! This weekend the dogs have been to the WBSDS Show. TIGGER had a very good show with 5 out of 6 runs being placed. His lowest place was 17th in 1-7 Jumping but considering the speed of some of the higher grade dogs, I was pleased with this place and know that I could have tightened him up more in a couple of places. Tigger did very well in the 2 combined Grade 4 and 5 classes coming 4th in each (one was jumping and the other agility). In fact in the jumping Grade 4 dogs filled all of the top 6 places over their Grade 5 counterparts. Finally TIGGER had two 2nd places one in Graded 4/5 Agility and the other in Graded 4/5 Jumping. In both he was beaten by just0.2 of a second - a nose length me thinks!!! In the Jumping class Tigger's time for 2nd place was faster than the winning Grade 5 dog. I am afraid I ran BELLA Appaulingly all weekend by making stupid handler errors in each class and Bella bless her got all of her contacts and weaves grrrrrrrrr! SWEEP was a naughty boy yesterday but it has to be said his handler was as bad if not worse! However today we manged 2 clears (with mistakes in both) but clears none the less to finish the first unplaced clear in Graded 6/7 agility and the same place in combined 6 & 7 Jumping. Just my luck!!!! INCA meanwhile went to stay with auntie Jess and went to the Heart of Wales Show where he managed a clear in Grade 3 jumping.
17/8/09 Due to the lovely weather I met up with Sue today and took the dogs for a walk around the recently cut straw fields. Photos are on the left. Naughty Inca is missing as he disgraced himself at the start of the walk. Curly stayed at home as his legs wouldn't make it that far!
