27/5/07 - Whilst at the European Championships INCA was presented with his FLYBALL DOG CERTIFICATE!!!!!!

Losley Park in Guildford was the venue for this seasons B.F.A. Flyball Championships. Our team the Golden Valley Eagles was drawn in Division 12 with a seed time of 21.58. We were the third seeds.

The morning went quite well even although there was some confusion with the lights!! We won both of the mornings' heats against the second and sixth seeds and in the process posted a new fastest time of 20.97. However we knew our afternoons races would be tough with both the Hotshots Team and the Cheshire set posting very quick times. Despite only winning one of the afternoons heats (against a Nuneaton Team) we managed to post an even faster time of 20.50 seconds. We managed to win one leg of a heat against the top seeds but were narrowly beaten in the other 3 legs. The same happened against the hotshots team. We lost each leg of the heat by less than a dog's length and it was much closer some of the time (a nose length!!!). All of our dogs were consistent and did not make any mistakes; we were just beaten by two faster teams by the very narrowest of margins. The team ended up THIRD in division 12 and we won a very nice medal for our efforts!!
